Estreia Amanhã: The King’s Speech

O aclamado filme The King’s Speech surge finalmente amanhã nas salas de cinema Portuguesas. Nomeado para 12 óscares, surge como o grande favorito às mais ambicionadas categorias dos prémios da academia.

O argumento aborda a vida do pai da actual rainha de Inglaterra, George VI (Colin Firth) que, após ver o seu irmão Edward (Guy Pearce) abdicar da coroa, se vê obrigado a comandar os destinos do Reino. O problema do recente rei é a sua gagueira que lhe vai trazer inúmeros problemas junto dos súbditos. É então chamado o terapeuta da fala Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush) para ajudar George. No meio da terapia do rei, é ainda necessário comandar as tropas que estão em combate na Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Colin Firth já ganhou o globo para melhor actor principal na categoria de Drama e é o favorito para o óscar numa interpretação absolutamente soberba.
